The COEXISTENCE TRILOGY
Humans have coexisted with other species since the first human walked on the Earth. But for the first time in human history, entities that surpass humans at many cognitive tasks and have a great degree of autonomy are beginning to live among us. The Coexistence Trilogy is a sci-fi based exploration of the legal and philosophical aspects of this coexistence.
The first volume in the Trilogy, Forever, was published in August 2023. It explores the idea of transferring humans into humanoid bodies, a topic that has been the theme for many eminent sci-fi titles. This book’s unique contribution is its exploration of the legal questions and embedded philosophical issues that flow from being able to transfer a copy of a person’s mind into a synthetic body that lives forever.
The book can be used as teaching support. It contains a list of questions for further reflection or student essays.
